No Man’s Sky lands PlayStation VR support this summer

Well I’ll be…

The PlayStation VR dream is alive for No Man’s Sky and that’s just the incentive I need for a replay.

Confirmed during today’s State of Play stream, Hello Games is planning to incorporate PlayStation VR support into its sci-fi exploration game. The new feature will appear in the Beyond update, which is coming to No Man’s Sky this summer with “a radical new social and multiplayer experience.”

I’ve held off playing the more recent content updates, but taking in the sights and sounds with a fresh pair of eyes in virtual reality will be so worth it. I had lost hope that it’d actually happen.

[Update: Hello Games has also pledged Steam VR support for No Man’s Sky.]
