Shenmue III’s new trailer announces August 2019 release date

This morning at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, Sega dropped a brand new trailer for the long, long, long-awaited RPG sequel, Shenmue III. The dramatic cinematic ends with a release date reveal of August 27, 2019.

This is big, long-time-coming news for fans and backers of the passion-project game, which is being developed by Yu Suzuki’s Ys Net and is being published by Deep Silver. Shenmue III will see hero Ryo Hazuki continue his relentless search across Asia for Lan Di, his father’s murderer.

Shenmue III launches on PS4 and PC August 27, 2019. For those who are in need of catching up, then you can pick up the remastered Shenmue I & II on PS4, PC and Xbox One now.
