Super Mario Maker has hit peak cross-branding: Shaun The Sheep costume incoming

So uh, yeah.

Nintendo has announced that by way of an event course called “Shaun’s Mossy Mole Mischief,” Shaun the Sheep, of television, movie, and Wallace & Gromit fame, will be hitting Super Mario Maker tomorrow. He comes complete with adorable sounds and a simplistic 8-bit costume that does indeed look like a sheep.

At one point I thought that Nintendo might run out of ideas, and that they had jumped the shark with the literal real-life car, but here we are. Who’s next, Spongebob? Doug Funnie’s Quailman? All three Aaahh!!! Real Monsters stacked on top of each other? The sky is the limit for Mario Maker.
