Star Wars Battlefront’s Outer Rim expansion is $15

Releasing April 5 as a standalone

The first of Star Wars Battlefront‘s expansions, Outer Rim, is dropping on April 5, 2016 for $14.99 as a standalone download. That’s according to GameStop, which has pre-order listings up for the DLC on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Considering one of the perks of the season pass is two-week-early access, this add-on will presumably be available to those folks on Tuesday, March 22.

Another retailer listing specifies the four new maps included (two on Tatooine, two on Sullust): Jabba’s Palace, Palace Garage, SoroSuub Refinery, and SoroSuub Pipelines.

Besides those maps, Outer Rim also adds Greedo and Nien Nunb as playable characters, Extraction mode, and an assortment of weaponry and Star Cards: the Relby V-10 rifle, DT-12 blaster pistol, Scatter Gun, Dioxis Grenade, and Adrenaline Stim.

If it weren’t my job to cover games, I’d be saying “no thanks” to this specific pack and waiting for all of the season pass content (which is bundled together for $49.99) to come out before making any decisions. Who knows how lively the Battlefront community will be by then, though.
