Speedrunning is one of my favorite things in gaming right now. It’s not so much the rush you get from actually doing it well, but the journey you embark upon — learning just about every facet of a game along the way to truly master it.
Azure Striker Gunvolt is thankfully making it easier for fans to do just that, as they are introducing a new Speedrun mode in the Steam version. It’s called Perma-Anthem, and grants you unlimited energy resources at the cost of battling one-hit kill spikes. The game is also currently 50% off on Steam until January 4.
