The new Legend of Zelda has sunsets, apple picking

And it’s giant

So the new Legend of Zelda is doing the, “Look, you can go anywhere you see in the distance” thing. And doing the, “our world is huge, look at our map, look at our waypoint system” thing. Shigeru Miyamoto and Eiji Aonuma did a lil recorded video showing off Link running towards sunsets and through lush grass.

The map would take “a very long time to walk.” So there’s automatic horse riding to way points, allowing you to do things like shoot arrows and move the camera while on horseback. “Real horses don’t run into trees very often,” they explain. There’s some bullet-time-like slow motion as well.

Oh, and you can pick and eat apples!

That’s about all they showed, as it would’ve taken a few more minutes to get to wherever they were supposed to be heading.
