Barry’s daughter playable
[Edit: Push Start was the original source on this news. Their post has an even better look at the game via GamesMaster Magazine, inducing a shot of the The Afflected in action. They are bloated. gross, and as we guessed, appear to be wearing wristbands. Would be fun if the whole thing ended up being a tribute to Rave to the Grave…]
A lot of Nintendo fans are still reeling from the fact that Resident Evil: Revelations 2 isn’t coming to Wii U or 3DS, despite the spin-offs origins on said handheld. My guess is that they should probably wait to see if the game is any good before they voice disappointment. From what we know now, it could still go either way.
A bunch of new info on the game was just let out over on Rely on Horror. 2 player co-op campaign has been confirmed, featuring the return of Resident Evil: Code Veronica‘s Claire Redfield and the debut of Ellie look-alike Moira Burton, daughter of Resident Evil icon Barry Burton. Like Code Veronica, the game takes place on a prison island, featuring a new “zombie-like” enemy called The Afflicted. If that teaser trailer is any indication, we can guess The Afflicted are regular, harmless people while their wristbands are green, and zombie-like jerks when their wristbands are red. Sounds a lot like an idea I had for Resident Evil way back when, before Resident Evil 6 permanently damaged my optimism for the franchise.
Rely on Horror has more on the game here.
