The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is back with some GIFs

Don’t everyone start doing this, please

“GIF. The least effective, the most beloved video format of 2013.”

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter developer The Astronauts isn’t wrong. And as much as I would have been just fine with a standard trailer, any footage of this “weird fiction horror game” will suffice. Yes, it’s one of those games. I simultaneously want to see more and not spoil the surprise.

The studio has released three animated GIFs, one of which features not a ghost train, but a ghost draisine. As you may recall, the protagonist of Ethan Carter, an occult detective, has the ability to see memories of the deceased. Mmm. Real excited to play this and uncover its mystery.
