3DS holiday ad will make you wish you were a kid again

I wish I had the opportunity to grow up with a 3DS

I’ve always been a fan of Nintendo’s advertising, from Pokemon’s link trading commercials to Wayne Brady rapping about Wii Party U — it’s always been spot on. Don’t question my unironic love for Wayne Brady. I suppose it comes as no surprise that this year’s holiday TV commercial for the 3DS is extremely well done.

It captures that Christmas morning magic: snow piling up outside, awesome decorations, family, and spending all day playing that sweet new Nintendo handheld you just received as a gift. I don’t think I’m alone in saying those are my favorite gaming memories I have.

I’m super jealous kids get to grow up with the 3DS (arguably the most important system to own this year). Although, I had the immense privilege of growing up with the Game Boy Pocket and Game Boy Advance. So that was pretty cool.
