Animals in politics! Have some Sonic #241 pages

The latest issues of Archie’s Sonic the Hedgehog have heavily focused on the shift in leadership of Sonic’s home of New Mobotropolis over to the evil wizard Ixis Naugus. With a smooth tongue, he was able to take over the throne and convince most of the populace that he serves them, all while secretly attempting to take control of their minds. This plot thread has resulted in many scenes involving the city’s Council of Acorn, an institution which I find hilariously ridiculous. It’s a panel consisting of pigs, ducks, and squirrels! I can’t help but imagine it has to be a convoluted satire of the modern justice system or something.

Anyway, following up on last month’s issue, Sonic #240 follows the Council as it tries to regain some measure of control from Naugus. On the more exciting front, Sonic, Tails, and Amy Rose are in pursuit of the weakened Death Egg II after its recent attack on New Mobotropolis.

The issue should appear on shelves tomorrow, so keep your peepers peeled!
