Game covers with an Atari 2600 twist

Recommended Videos

The current rage is reimagining anything and everything with an original Nintendo style twist. Sure, the pixel art remakes are nice, but EVERYONE is doing it. So it’s nice to see someone approach things differently, as deviantARTist Bunnelle has.

Bunnelle has taken games from the last several years and shows us what their covers might have looked like had they been released on the Atari 2600. The absurdity is captured rather well with a number of the cartridge arts. There’s even some where the mockups look better than the actual cover art the games ended up shipping with.

There’s plenty to see over on Bunnelle’s deviantART, with hopefully more to come.
