Sonic 4: Episode 2 physics based on Genesis games

Today, a very tragic event has happened. SEGA has confirmed that Sonic fans will have one less thing to bitch about when Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 2 is released. The game’s physics will be based upon the Genesis originals, which severely cuts the opportunity to screaming comparison videos.

“I wanted to make sure people could play the game and it not feel unnatural,” Sonic Team’s Takashi Iizuka told Eurogamer. “It should feel right. Rather than thinking of it as us trying to say, ‘okay, this is the way it should be,’ we looked at feedback where people were saying, ‘this feels unnatural.’

“Those were the things we decided to eliminate, so it should feel natural when they play the game.”

This is terrible! The fact that the game felt a bit different from the Genesis games was the bread and butter of the Sonic 4 hate movement. Without that, they’ll have to go back to complaining that Sonic’s legs are too long. Hopefully, we can get our hands on leaked videos of somebody playing a level really poorly, otherwise we’ll have nothing to be furious over.

Don’t worry guys, something will still be wrong with it. We just have to believe!
