8-bit Mario, Animal Crossing, and possibly other amiibo incoming

New Animal Crossing / Pikmin TBA?

Nintendo of Europe have uploaded an image to its server a bit early revealing new series of amiibo, pictured above. 8-bit Mario would most likely be used for Mario Maker, and the Isabelle amiibo card is for Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer, but what games is the Animal Crossing amiibo for? I’d guess a soon to be announced Wii U Animal Crossing title.

This reminds me of this amiibo display that had the Mario design on it prior to confirmation of the Super Mario series of amiibo. The display also features Pikmin, Tom Nook, and a retro looking Bowser design. Could we be seeing a new Pikmin announced as well? An 8-bit Bowser amiibo? I’m guessing we will find out tomorrow at Nintendo’s Digital Event for E3!
