10 million Pokemon have been traded in X & Y

Pokemon X and Y seems to be a huge success, as the pair of games has not only sold a ton of copies, but they also facilitated 10 million trades. According to Game Freak Director Junichi Masuda, this new landmark was reached recently, and the hype has no signs of stopping anytime soon. The newly improved PSS and GTS have contributed to this, as it’s incredibly easy to find a trading partner if you know what you’re doing.

Masuda also has another tidbit based on player feedback: people seem to have an infatuation with Mega Evolutions, and Game Freak wants to add more of them. Whether that’s through a “Pokemon Z” or by way of event Pokemon is unclear. Either way, I’m only 15 Pokemon away from capturing the entire Kalos ‘Dex, so I’m still happy.
