ZBluCops brings French comic to life on the Wii

I have never heard of Biodroid Productions (or, for that matter, ZBluCops) until this morning, but let me assure you, as soon as I saw the sentence “ZbluCops is an action/adventure game that aims to bring back to videogames the humour characteristic of the 90’s adventure games” on their webpage, I sat up and took notice fast.

The game is exclusively for Wii and adapted from the French comic, which places you in a classic good versus evil scenerio where a team of ZBluCops takes on an evil meglomaniac and his team of baddies hellbent on destroying the town of ZBluville. You know the drill.

No release information is available at this time, but I have to admit I’m intrigued at such a unique looking title and will definitely keep an eye on this for future updates. The adventure genre lives!

It’s a long time since the not-quite-so-crack team of Zblucops have won any awards for their police work. But when an Evil Super-Villain recruits all the Bad Guys in Zbluville – and unleashes them on the unsuspecting town – it’s time for the real Heroes to step forward.

From Playmo to Papa Louis, from Tistu to Jubbei, the rough-and-ready team have to use all their ingenuity (not much), powers (strange) and strength (uncontrollable) to outwit the Dark Forces.

On a criminal trail which takes them underwater, through the jungle, down the sewers, up the tower-blocks, inside a volcano – and even into deep space – the Zblucops display all of their notorious dysfunctionality, bad taste and even worse humour… before emerging triumphant with a fist-full of medals.

This action/adventure game brings to Wii the kind of strong storytelling, humor and dialogue found in traditional adventure games.

ZBluCops is an exclusive for Nintendo Wii.
