Your first look at Michael Phelp’s Kinect swimming title

If there were any doubt that Kinect for Xbox 360 would break new gaming ground, look no further than Michael Phelps: Push The Limit.

Yeah, it’s a swimming game that utilizes the Kinect sensor and features Olympic athlete and part-time Aquaman, Michael Phelps. Developed by Blitz Games, Push the Limit will use the controller-free experience to try to translate swimming into a fun living room experience. Or something.

Push the Limit is about improving and mastering every race element, from controlling your adrenaline on the block to perfectly timing your finish,” says Phelps.

Players take control of an up-and-coming swimmer in Push the Limit, entering an Animus from Assassin’s Creed as they race against Phelps and ignore their cute girlfriends. Or at least that’s what the trailer is telling me.

Michael Phelps: Push the Limit is out this June.
