WARDOGS has six different roles, and they all have their unique contribution to make a faction become the victor. While you’re not hard-locked into a certain role, you should still pick carefully. Choose something that might not work for you, and it will lead to terrible outcomes.

Which WARDOGS role should you pick
The following table has all the important information you’ll need to learn before you pick a role for yourself.
| Role | When should you pick |
|---|---|
| Assault: You’re the forefront of the assault, and you have to clear the Contested Zone. | This role is best meant for those players who are great at shooters. You’ll need lightning-fast reflex and good aim skills to come on top of the gun fights. If you’re not good at shooting, don’t take this role. |
| Medic: You play the primary role of healer in the battlefield. | If you don’t mind playing a secondary role and want to become the modern version of Florence Nightingale, this is your role. However, you’ll still have to be good at shooting enemies since you’ll be accompanying the ones playing Assault. |
| Recon: Keep distance and track down enemies. | This is a really underrated role that can change the course of a battle. You keep your distance and help your allies to track down enemy units. |
| Support: You play behind your frontline players and create different structures. | If you’re not that good at shooting, you can still support your team by building different structures. |
| Driver: You get to drive different vehicles. | If you just like driving cars, you can try this role. You don’t take active role in combat, but your role is quite immense. Helping your allies to move smoothly from the base to the CZ often determines how well your faction performs. |
| Pilot: You to get to fly the chopper | You play similar role as the Driver, but you get to dominate the skies (until you get shot down by an RPG). |
Being successful with a role also largely depends on what kind of items you’re using. You’ll get plenty of them to unlock as you level up, but picking the correct one is going to make a lot of difference.
