Bubbly Basin is in a bit of a ruined state when you first arrive there in Pokopia. You’re given lots of different tasks to restore it to its former glory, though, including constructing a massive, beautiful building. One of the key items you need for this task is Ocean Doors.

The huge building Popplio tasks you with building will eventually be revealed as an ocean temple, which is why you need to assemble lots of intricate construction pieces for it. The vast majority of the assets you need are fairly easy to acquire, but the Ocean Doors can be a bit tougher to unlock. If this part of the process has you stumped, here’s where to find Ocean Doors in Pokopia.

To get Ocean Doors, you need to find and unlock the crafting recipe for this item. While many of the items you need to progress in Bubbly Basin can be picked up from various spots around the region, Ocean Doors aren’t one of them, and instead can only be made through crafting after you acquire the recipe.

You can find the crafting recipe for Ocean Doors in a Pokéball hidden among the rubble located at the top of the stairs in the middle of the Bubbly Basin region. It’s completely concealed by the sand and other debris scattered all along this area, so you’ll need to use moves like Rock Smash and Rollout to clear the area and find it.

During Popplio’s request, you’ll be asked to clean up this region to make room for the beautiful building at the top of the stairs. Do your best to get rid of all the debris here to complete this task and find the Pokéball that has the Ocean Doors recipe you need.

If you’re clearing out this area pretty quickly, there’s a decent chance you might pick up the Pokéball that contains this recipe without even realizing it. This happened to me, and I only realized I had found it much later on when checking out my recipes at a crafting station. Even if you don’t think you found it, be sure to review all your recipes just in case you may have overlooked grabbing it.

Once you unlock the crafting recipe for Ocean Doors, you can make this item at any point using just one Star-Spotted Rock. The ocean temple needs two of them, so you’ll want to gather two Star-Spotted Rocks from around the basin to submit for this building. Star-Spotted Rocks are very common blocks all around the Bubbly Basin region and the associated Dream Island you can visit using the Starmie Doll.

If you’re looking for more ways to use the Ocean Door recipe now that you’ve got it, consider using it to make dedicated homes for Pokémon by setting up all Bubbly Basin Habitats. Or, if you’d rather tackle some other missions in this region, you may want to work on cooking all Bubbly Basin recipesunlocking Phione, finding Shiny Pearls, and unlocking Portal Pods.
