Where to find Grassy Glide TM 194 in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

A real pain in the grass

At first glance, Grassy Glide looks like an unexciting TM to obtain in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. With a mere 55 base power and the offensively underwhelming Grass-Typing, it doesn’t look special at all. However, it has one key feature that makes it a real killer; it gets +1 priority in Grassy Terrain. Since Grassy Terrain already boosts the power of Grass-Type attacks, you can functionally hit opponents for Earthquake-level damage that reliably outspeeds them. This move has become a fixture of Rillaboom users, though the newly released Ogerpon occasionally runs this move as well.

Here’s where to find this TM if you haven’t already.

Grassy Glide TM 194 location in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

If you own The Teal Mask DLC in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, you fortunately don’t have to travel far to find this TM. Just to the west of Mossui Town, you’ll see the Loyalty Plaza overlooking the Apple Hills. Climb up so you’re looking over the Apple Hills and look near the cliff. You’ll see a glowing Pokeball that contains TM 194. It’s that easy!

There are a few other TMs around this location as well, so don’t get discouraged if you pick one up and it’s not Grassy Glide. Make sure you check the spot indicated on the screenshot above.

How to craft the Grassy Glide TM 194

Of course, like any TM, you can craft multiple copies of this one if you need to. You’ll need the following materials:

  • 10,000 League Points
  • 3 Bellsprout Vine
  • 3 Seedot Stem

That’s a higher than average League Point cost, so Game Freak clearly knows how strong this move can be. After all, it’s been nerfed twice since it was introduced in Generation VIII.

As far as materials go, both monsters you need are found in Kitakami. You can find Bellsprout walking around the Apple Hills near where you found this TM. Meanwhile, Seedot can be found around the southeast side of the map in Kitakami. For reference, Seedot was the first Pokemon I found upon leaving Mossui Town to the east, so this one should turn up easily.

Remember, evolved Pokemon will still drop these same materials too, so feel free to take down any applicable monsters that you see. Good luck!
