How to Fish has plenty of ways to kill a fish and the killscore multiplier judges your effort based on the applied style. Killing a fish in the most straightforward fashion might be effective and save time, but it might not be the most lucrative way as far as the killscore is concerned.
In this guide, I will help you achieve the 5x killscore multiplier that unlocks the Impressive achievement.
How to achieve 5x killscore multipler in How to Fish
For starters, it’s best to save this achievement for your post-game activity (after you complete all the necessary missions and reach the mainland). Next, you’ll need the Assault Rifle and the Laser Sight for this task. You can also complete it with the Gun, but the Assault Rifle makes things easier.
First, attach the Laser Sight, since you’ll need to hip fire for this task. Hence, we are not using any types of optical attachments. The Laser becomes necessary to aim accurately.
Secondly, you’ll have to wait for multiple birds to trigger the Double Kill modifier. This only activates when you kill two creatures in a rapid succession. To unlock the achievement, only headshots will count.
Here’s a run-down of the modifiers to target.
- Headshot
- Fly Fishing (when you kill a creature in air)
- One Shot One Kill (when you kill a creature with a single shot)
- Overkill (Do more damage than what’s necessary to land the kill, but don’t shoot multiple bullets)
- No Scope (Equivalent of hip firing for a kill).
While everything might sound simple, hitting the head of the bird isn’t easy. To make things easier, I laid down fishes on the ground. While they lured the birds, I found them easier to take down from shorter distances. However, you still need to make sure that the bird is flying in the air and not on the ground.
