Aluminum can be found growing from nodes around some cliff sides. There are only a handful of areas containing these nodes, however, and one of which is barren until you complete a certain mission.

All Aluminum locations to find in Lightyear Frontier

There are several locations where you can find Aluminum in Lightyear Frontier. You’ll find the earliest batch in The Meadows, the starting biome of the game. But you can unlock even more once you finish the ‘Restore Pine Heights’ mission. Cleaning up the Pine Heights biome and sleeping will spawn Aluminum deposits in the area. The area has a lot of nodes, so getting it available before you start upgrading your mech is a smart move.

You can harvest Aluminum using your mech’s Saw Spike tool. It doesn’t require an upgrade for the tool, so feel free to punch the metal right out of the rock the moment you see it. The material is a bit heavy, though, so keep an eye on your inventory space. It’s pretty low this early in the game.
