WARDOGS has no shortage of weapon choices irrespective of your in-game roles, and you should pick them based on how they generally perform. So far, I haven’t found any “bad” gun (as long as you know its weakness and manage to build a good loadout).
However, few of them are simply better than the rest in their respective categories, and we will find more in this guide.
Complete WARDOGS weapons tier list
To separate all the available weapons, I have used three different tiers.
- S-tier weapons are the best possible choices in their respective categories.
- A-tier weapons can perform just as well as long as you get the builds on point.
- B-tier weapons have some inherent weaknesses, so you have to have a proper build and spend some time with them.
S-tier weapons
| Weapon | Reason |
|---|---|
| M4 | This is the best assault rifle in my books. At 800 RPM, it has the highest firing rate, and the recoil is manageable (gets better with the correct build). It’s significantly cheaper compared to the FAL. |
| FAL | If you have the budget, nothing gets better than the FAL (however, the $6,500 could be an issue). It’s slower than the M4 but offers the highest damage. |
| MP5 | This iconic SMG is the most sound choice in SMGs. It has good firing rate, recoil control, and damage. |
| M500 | If you want to play close quarters, there’s no better shotgun than this. It has 120 RPM (pretty good for a shotgun) and avoids the double-barrel structure of the MP43. That said, I will expect this to go down a tier once we have more shotguns in the game. |
| M249 SAW | The SAW is an infantry shredder if you don’t miss your shots. It’s heavy, it’s fast, and it shoots bullets like cheese. The M249 is outstanding at bringing down smaller vehicles and jeopardizing the plans of the enemy. |
A-tier weapons
| Weapon | Reason |
|---|---|
| Galil | A suitable alternative to the M4 that unlocks early and comes at a manageable price. However, it has a slower fire rate and lower damage in comparison. |
| T-21 | The T-21 is the best beginner assault rifle that costs only $600 to purchase. It has the second-highest fire rate, 750 RPM. |
| AMP-9 | Despite being a starter weapon, this SMG is shockingly good. It has an extremely high firing rate and is the perfect companion for close-quarters combat. |
| Super-45 | If you like to remain in the face of your opponent and want something that shoots fast, the Super-45 is the best possible choice. At 1,200 RPM, it shreds through magazines. However, you need to have good aiming skills and managing the recoil is key. |
| SKS | The SKS is easy to unlock, accurate, and deadly. It also offers a decent firing rate for its category, and you’ll be using it for a long time. |
| PKM | The PKM does more damage than the SAW, but the inferior recoil and slower firing rate are two big problems. |
B-tier weapons
| Weapon | Reason |
|---|---|
| AK-74 | My biggest issue with this gun is the recoil, which makes it difficult to control and use over longer ranges. |
| PP-19 | The PP-19 is a good beginner weapon to use, but it’s outdone by the MP5 in every department. |
| MP-43 | The double-barrel system of this entry-level shotgun feels inefficient to use unless you land almost all your shots. |
This list is a work in progress, as I have yet to add the rankings for the rifles you unlock later as a Recon. Meanwhile, have a look at our list of vehicles if you’re an aspiring Pilot or Driver in the game.
