Video of Alan Wake demo is shaky, blurry…not on purpose

Recommended Videos

Developer Remedy Entertainment has been showing Alan Wake behind-closed-doors now for awhile. We’ve seen it a few times, but it’s always “no photography, no videotaping, no direct feed.” So instead, we get a few screenshots here and there and have to do our best to relay the experience to you.

So it’s unfortunate that some of the first footage of these demos has leaked out in the form of a blurry, shaky-cam video from Russian games show Igromir 2009. Even though what you’re seeing is an early build, you still get a good idea of the polish and atmosphere… the shaky/blurry cam thing is not, however, the look Remedy was going for. I promise, it looks better in person.

First video is above, with the second half of the demo after the jump. Alan Wake is scheduled to ship for the Xbox 360 sometime next year… I think. Maybe. Probably in the Spring. I hope.

[Thanks, Sean!]
