Ultimate Arcane Lineage Class Tier List – Base & Super Classes Ranked

What are the best of the best classes in Arcane Lineage?

As the Lightmarked, most of your gameplay in Arcane Lineage will depend on your class. And just like any other turn-based RPG, there are several other tidbits you have to worry about. In particular, you first have to choose a Base Class, followed by a Sub Class, until you reach your final form through your Super Class. Now, let’s take a look at the ultimate Arcane Lineage tier list and what each Class entails.

Above, you can see my Arcane Lineage tier list. In the beginning, both Slayer and Thief are good, but I’d strongly advise anyone to pick Thief. I made the mistake of going with Slayer and leveled INCREDIBLY slow. Likewise, I wouldn’t say not to pick Wizard or Warrior, but I think they’re better suited for slots 3 and above. Martial Artist is as beginner-friendly as Thief, but slightly worse overall.

Arcane Lineage Base Classes Tier List

This tier list of Arcane Lineage Base Classes isn’t as rigid as it seems. You can pick any playstyle you want and iterate on it later. Nevertheless, you should be aware that some classes will be a bigger pain in the backside than others.

They also have Curar Forte, the strongest party heal in the game, keeping their team alive when it matters most. After some leveling, you’ll unlock the ability to spawn a cauldron anywhere, letting you craft potions on the go. Selling potions to the Apothecary is also a great way to make money outside of battle. By registering monsters in your Bestiary, you gain insight into their weaknesses, and once you unlock Mark, killing enemies will yield extra rewards. While primarily focused on gathering resources, the Beastmaster can also help in combat by weakening enemies and exposing their weak points, making fights easier for both themselves and their team.

The Brawler is a relentless fighter, dishing out heavy damage while staying tanky. They get stronger every time they apply a debuff, making them even deadlier as the fight goes on. On top of that, they become faster and harder to kill when their HP gets low, turning them into an absolute menace in drawn-out battles. If you want to be the last one standing, this class won’t let you down.

How to Unlock Sub Classes and Super Classes

While you choose your Base Class at the start of the game, unlocking Sub Classes and Super Classes in Arcane Lineage requires completing specific quests and meeting certain level requirements. Here’s a breakdown of how to get them:

  • Sub Classes are the first upgrade you can get, providing extra abilities and stat boosts. You can unlock one after reaching Level 15. To do so, find an NPC offering a Sub Class quest. Each one has a different requirement, like gathering items, defeating enemies, or completing a challenge. Once finished, you’ll gain access to the Sub Class and its abilities.
  • Super Classes are a significant power boost, unlocking at Level 30. You must already have a Sub Class before progressing to a Super Class. Similar to the first upgrade, you’ll need to find an NPC who offers the quest and complete their specific challenge. These tend to be harder, often involving strong enemies or more complex tasks. Once done, you’ll gain access to a much stronger skill set and unique mechanics.

That should do it for our ultimate Arcane Lineage tier list. I know it’s a lot, but if you take your time to study the Base Classes, Sub Classes and Super Classes, there’s no reason why you can’t dominate. And if you need any extra help or input, the fine people at the Arcane Lineage Trello and Discord will happily assist you.
