Ubisoft is sending someone to Mt. Everest to play Far Cry 4

Think I’ll just play it at home, thanks

I want to play Far Cry 4 and, yeah, scaling a mountain like Everest would be a once-in-a-lifetime trip — but playing Far Cry 4 *on* Mt. Everest? Not for me, sadly.

That said, someone out there — the one lucky person chosen by Ubisoft for its Quest for Everest contest — is going to have a hell of a time. If you’re interested in being that person, the instructions and rules for entry can be found over here. The winning video submission will be announced at PAX Prime which, jeez, will be here before we know it.

I’m curious to see what that “one-of-a-kind gaming device built to withstand the harsh conditions of the Himalayas” looks like. Sounds heavy.
