Although Activision’s latest money-maker Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 had a successful launch, some unfortunate server issues have reared there head in the weeks following release day. What with new battle royale centrepiece Blackout being added to the usual Multiplayer and Zombies modes, it seems a little more juice than usual is required to keep everything smooth.

As such, Treyarch has released a new patch, which hopes to combat problems with lag, kill-trading and randomly-spawning enemies. This new patch appears to have had some positive effect, with players reporting an improvement in overall stability, as well as an increase in server send rate. You can find the full notes right here.

The developer has stated that it will continue to work on server issues, hoping to get gameplay back to the sweet spot it was during the Multiplayer beta. “”It’s important that we roll out updates in a carefully staged process,” said Treyarch in a statement. “As changes to networking infrastructure can potentially produce both positive and negative effects, and we need to monitor every update closely”.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
