(Unless you already own everything, like me)

This is how we know it is officially The Most Wonderful Time of the Year. Valve has opened the doors on The Steam Winter Sale, offering huge discounts on hundreds of games, all ready and waiting for your hard-earned buckeroos.

As we all know, Christmas is a time for decorating trees, getting together with long-lost relatives, and registering hundreds of new game licenses for titles you do not even plan to install, let alone play. Over the past decade and change, The Steam Winter Sale has provided us all with the opportunity to buy Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse and the entire Batman: Arkham franchise for less than the price of a sandwich… Do you own Celeste? Of course you do, but why not buy it again!

But, jesting aside, there are some fine titles on offer in this year’s endeavor, including Supergiant’s multiple award-winning title Hades, Arkane’s smart shooter Deathloop, The Game Awards GOTY It Takes Two, FromSoftware’s excellent Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and many, many more. Whatever kind of gaming takes your fancy, you’ll find something fun. And if you don’t, then just gift me instead. (I kid, don’t gift me, I already have way too much queued up).

The Steam Winter Sale will run until January 5, 2022. Remember when you used to have to log in every four hours to check for new prices. That seemed fun at the time… It really wasn’t. They had us by the short ‘n’ curlies.
