Not Tiny Tina PS5, because PlayStation is confusing

So PlayStation Plus is back with new stuff on February 1, and things are looking…not so good! A PlayStation Plus Tiny Tina DLC from 2013 is arguably the main attraction. Let that sink in.

At that time you’ll be able to pick up EA Sports UFC 4, which is going to be a polarizing pick, and is a PS4-only game from 2020. Oh, and Planet Coaster (PS5), which might make some people happy. Then there’s Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-shot Adventure.

Note that this is not the upcoming March 25 Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands game: despite the confusing nomenclature and the similar purple hue of the key art. Instead, it’s the 2021 “one shot” standalone DLC (in the same vein as many other Sony DLCs like inFamous: Festival of Blood), repurposed from the 2013 Borderlands 2 DLC pack. It also has been free on multiple storefronts at various points in the past, including the Epic Games Store (and indirectly through the Handsome Collection). And here, on PlayStation Plus, you’re getting the PS4 edition, which was only made for PS4 and works on PS5 through backward compatibility. So it’s like a lack of value on top of a lack of value.

Sony notes that you have until February 28 to download them, but I wouldn’t blame you if you forgot. When I first saw the words “PlayStation Plus Tiny Tina” I perked up, then realized…wait, it’s uh, something from nearly a decade ago.
