The Far Cry 4 devs went to Nepal and watched an animal sacrifice

It’s not uncommon for developers to travel to far and distant lands to immerse themselves in the culture that they aim to represent in the videogames they’re creating. What is uncommon (I imagine) is to watch a goat get sacrificed. But, that’s what the developers of Far Cry 4 did.

On a trip to Nepal, the Far Cry 4 team watched a goat get slaughtered as an offering to Kali. If I were tagging along, I think I could get the lay of the land without partaking in ritual sacrifice, so I’d have opted right out of that portion. As this is only part one of a three part series, who knows what other wacky hijinks the Far Cry 4 devs got into!
