Team Rainbow joins the cast of Ghost Recon Wildlands in the next free DLC

Bowman’s got explosives

That Rainbow Six Siege crossover Ubisoft teased for Ghost Recon Wildlands a few days ago has been revealed today. Similar to the Splinter Cell event, it will be a single mission that sees Team Rainbow join Team Ghost on a mission to stop a rogue operative in Bolivia. I guess Team Ghost just outright owns the country because they haven’t moved on to a different mission in the year since completing their task.

Anyway, “Special Operation 2” will be available on July 24 and will specifically feature the Siege operatives Valkyrie, Twitch, and Caveira. The story is that Caveira has gone missing in Bolivia and Team Rainbow is there to get her back. Bowman is more than happy to let Team Ghost blow the ever living shit out of everything, so you’ll be playing assist roles in getting Caveira back. Successful completion of the mission before August 14 will net players Caveira’s gloves that allow for a special CQC takedown on enemies.

The PvP “Ghost War” mode will also receive two new classes based on Siege. The “Surgeon” class will allow for the long-range revival of teammates and the “Toxic” class has a special drone payload that unleashes a toxic cloud over enemies. New battle crates (ugh) are being added and Ubisoft is touting over 100+ new cosmetic items will be available in-game. New weapons based on Siege will also be present.

If this all sounds interesting to you and you want to pick up Wildlands to give it a shot, the game will be 67% off from July 24 to July 31 on all platforms. Here is a trailer of the Rainbow Six event to hype you up.
