Smash-like fighter welcomes more crossover characters

You have to hand it to Blue Mammoth Games — there are few fighting titles out there that have received the same level of long-term support as its humble Smash Bros.-like scrapper, Brawlhalla. The developer’s dedication to the free-to-play title has seen it earn respect within the industry, which has, in turn, led to numerous fun crossovers with brands such as Tomb Raider, WWE, and Adventure Time.

Capcom’s flagship fighting series Street Fighter is also preparing to make not just its first, but its second appearance in Brawlhalla‘s cartoonish universe. On May 25, five more World Warriors will be made available to purchase for Brawlhalla’s burgeoning roster. They include the villainous M. Bison, the hot-headed Ken, yoga-master Dhalsim, spunky schoolgal Sakura, and finally new boy and SFV online nightmare, Luke. You can check out the gang in action in the funky new trailer below.

As you can see, each of the World Warriors comes loaded for bear with their trademark abilities — from Ken’s flaming Dragon Punch and Dhalsim’s Yoga Flame, to M.Bison’s Psycho Crusher and Luke’s Washboard Stomach. These five new fighters will join previous Street Fighter guests Ryu, Chun-Li, and Akuma, all of whom joined Brawlhalla at the tail-end of 2021. In addition to the new characters, SFV‘s “Bustling Side Street” stage will also be added as a new playground in which to throw down.

So, if you ever wanted to see Sakura duke it out with Rayman, the wait is almost over.

The Brawlhalla x Street Fighter DLC Pack 2 launches on May 25. Brawlhalla is available now on PS4, PC, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and mobile platforms.
