Standalone Xbox One Kinects go on sale in October for $150

Packaged with a copy of Dance Central Spotlight

Microsoft moved a lot more Xbox Ones when it made the prudent business decision to offer a SKU sans Kinect for $100 cheaper. But, what about those that have found themselves saddled with Kinect regret, those that long to come home and find love from a familiar glow with just the words “Xbox on?”

Fortunately for those people, Microsoft will begin selling à la carte Xbox One Kinect sensors on October 7 for $149.99. While there’s essentially a $50 penalty for adopting late, standalone sensors will come packaged with a downloadable copy of Harmonix’s Dance Central Spotlight. Just don’t expect it to give you straight answers when you ask it questions like “Xbox, why can’t I dance?”
