Sony files trademark for ‘The Order: 1886’

What is this?

A new US trademark for “The Order: 1886” has been filed by Sony, and the application shows that this name is for use with videogames. So we know a new game is coming. Good.

But we may have some clues as to where this game is coming from. A sharp NeoGAF thread points out that a similar trademark application was filed for “The Order” in Europe, at the Benelux IP office, and that this could have ties to the Netherlands-based Guerrilla Games studio.

Weren’t Guerrilla working on a new game? A new IP? Maybe a new PS4 game?

Any guesses, Destructoid? Does the year 1886 give you any hints?
