Slime Seas Race Tier List

The best race in Slime Seas depends on what weapon you’re using and your playstyle. Above you’ll see the rankings for all races in general and below you’ll find the best race for each weapon and also ranking breakdowns and stats for each race. Then we’ll move into the best Stances/Masteries below.
Best Race By Weapon
- Greatsword & Berserker: Dragonborn > Oni
- Scythe: Dragonborn > Djinn
- Katana: Shadowborn > Lunarian
S-Tier Races
| S-Tier Races | Ranking Reasons | Race Stats |
|---|---|---|
| Shadowborn Legendary | • The highest DPS potential for Katana builds with the best mobility • Plus you have lifesteal which in combination with Parries and Dodges makes you unkillable • Best damage and sustain in the game for both PVP and PVE | +5% Life Steal +35% Katana -50% Greatsword & Scythe +40% Dash Distance +15% Movement Speed -25% Max Health |
A-Tier Races
| A-Tier Races | Ranking Reasons | Race Stats |
|---|---|---|
| Dragonborn Legendary | • The best Greatsword/Scythe race with near-best DPS due to the skill cooldown reduction and fire damage • That said while you have more HP, you have less mobility and no lifesteal so I ranked Shadow higher • Still Dragonborn is the second-best race in the game and if you have high base Fire damage it can compete with SB DPS wise | +15% Skill Cooldown Speed +25% Max Health +20% Scythe Damage +10% Fire Damage +20% Greatsword Damage |
| Djinn Fabled (Epic) | • The third best race in the game and the second-best for Scythe with a great mix of DPS boosts • I value skill cooldown reduction over health and speed so I put it above Lunarian | +15% Skill Cooldown Speed +20% Scythe Damage +25% Dash Distance |
B-Tier Races
| B-Tier Races | Ranking Reasons | Race Stats |
|---|---|---|
| Lunarian Fabled (Epic) | • Competes for the third-best race in the game if you have base Fire damage • In fact it’s the second-best race in the game for Katana builds • That said Djinn has cooldowns which can out-DPS Lunarian in duels | +10% Movement Speed +10% Max Health +20% Katana Damage +10% Fire Damage |
| Oni Rare | • With no Fire damage boost Oni still has a 20% damage boost for greatswords | +15% Max Health +20% Greatsword Damage -5% Movement Speed |
C-Tier Races
| C-Tier Races | Ranking Reasons | Race Stats |
|---|---|---|
| Elf Rare | • Lacks the 20% weapon damage boost but the skill cooldowns save it from D-Tier | +10% Skill Cooldown Speed +10% Movement Speed +10% Katana Damage |
D-Tier Races
| D-Tier Races | Ranking Reasons | Race Stats |
|---|---|---|
| Fishman Uncommon | • Great beginner race for greatswords | +50% Swim Speed +10% Greatsword Damage |
| Skypiean Uncommon | • Great beginner race for katanas | +10% Katana Damage +10% Movement Speed |
| Human Common | • Not worth it IMO | +5% XP Gain |
Slime Seas Weapon Stance Tier List

The best Weapon/Stance/Mastery in Slime Seas depends on which race you’re going for. This is the case in both PVP and PVE. Above you’ll see the best weapon based on the race you have. The second-best weapon is just every other weapon but it’s not worth it since you don’t get the damage boost. The only exception is Shadowborn where you shouldn’t use Greatswords and Scythes due to a massive debuff. As for PVP, here are the skill damage breakdowns for all weapons:
- Katana Skill Damage (PVP)
- Flashblade Surge (Mastery 0) – 800 Damage
- Surge Wave (Mastery 3) – 1,600 Damage
- Thousand Slashes (Mastery 5) – 2,700 Damage
- Scythe Skill Damage (PVP)
- Death’s Grasp (Mastery 0) – 700 Damage
- Spinning Strike (Mastery 3) – 1,300 Damage
- Void Surge (Mastery 5) – 1,200 Damage
- Greatsword Skill Damage (PVP)
- Earth Breaker (Mastery 0) – 900 Damage
- Sweeping Slam (Mastery 3) – 1,300 Damage
- Spiraling (Mastery 5) – 1,700 Damage
- Berserker Skill Damage (PVP)
- Impaling Thrust (Mastery 0) – 1,200 Damage
- Leaping Slam (Mastery 3) – 900 Damage
- Colossal Slam (Mastery 5) – 1,200 Damage
In PVP, your stats are limited to 10,000 Health and 325 Melee Damage while ability damage varies per Weapon.
Slime Seas FAQ
You can get a race by clicking on the Stats menu and then tapping on the Race button in the top left. You can get Race Rerolls via Robux, from the wheel or codes (linked below).
Greatsword & Katana: Available at almost all shops starting from the first island.
Scythe: You can only get the Scythe after reaching level 200 either from the Merchant Shop or by opening chests.
Berserker: This is a Robux-only Weapon Stance available either via the Shop or by talking to any Guts/Berserker/Black Swordsman NPC.
The best weapon in Slime Seas is simply the highest damage weapon you can buy for your Weapon Stance. This game is based on linear/incremental progression so simply get the one with the highest numbers.
Scrolls are dropped by Mage Slimes. Then use a Scroll and select the wepaon you want to enchant. Power Scrolls give you a 50-150 Damage bonus while Defense Scrolls give you 200-600 bonus HP. You can only remove enchants with the Enchant Removal Scroll which you can get from the Shop for 300 gems or win them from the wheel.
For Essence (Main ingredient to brew potions) you need to kill different types of slimes:
Gold = Dagger Slimes
XP = Katana Slimes
Defense = Mage Slimes
Power = Greatsword and Scythe Slimes
Luck = Any Boss
You can get them either via Robux or by trading with other players.
You cannot disable PVP in Slime Seas. The only way you can technically stop PVP is by creating a party with that player.
