Goodbye Microsoft, he hardly knew ya

News from GDC has it that the one-time Sony exec and now Microsoft executive Phil Harrison is planning to leave his position with the company. Sources have confirmed with GamesIndustry.biz that he is stepping away after being hired by Microsoft in 2012.

According to GamesIndustry.biz, Harrison grew frustrated after Don Mattrick left and was subsequently blocked from climbing the corporate ladder with a promotion. Apparently, Harrison gave Microsoft some type of ultimatum that if he wasn’t moved up, he would leave.

Well, it looks like Harrison might be backing up his words and will be moving on. But where to? Back to Sony? Off to Nintendo? Please don’t say Zynga.
