The 2011 Rugby World Cup is just around the corner (September 9, to be exact) and as we all know, no sporting event would be complete without an official videogame tie-in. While the game itself isn’t due out until August 26, fans can get their hands on the demo now via Xbox Live and tomorrow on PSN.

Rugby World Cup 2011 will feature the 20 teams participating in the Cup as they compete in their phase of the tournament and eventually the finals. As it’s a licensed title, player and team likenesses are at the forefront and you can expect the full Rugby World Cup experience.

The demo reigns in the content to a simplified match; England v. South Africa in Auckland, NZ. If you’re not sure which Rugby title you want to pick up this year, give the demo a shot. Let me just say though, that New Zealand’s Haka has yet to make an appearance in this one.
