Real Heroes: Firefighter gives back to real firefighters

Epicenter Studios, makers of Real Heroes: Firefighter for the Wii, plan to give a portion of their proceeds from the sale of this game back to real firefighters.

As we mentioned in our preview of the game, the Firefighter Cancer Support Network will receive the donations from the developer. Epicenter says that they’re looking to give back to those that keep us safe.

“We wanted to try to give back to these brave women and men who put their lives on the line every day to keep the public safe,” said Nathaniel McClure, CEO of Epicenter Studios. “This is our attempt to bring recognition and support to a wonderful organization that not only supports firefighters battling cancer but also aggressively promotes prevention and early detection.”

To celebrate this announcement, they’ve sent a long new screenshots of the game, which you’ll find in our gallery below. The press release mentions the game’s “top-notch voice cast,” which includes one of Destructoid’s very own, naia-the-gamer. Combine the opportunity to hear her voice work, this good cause, and a $29.99 price tag, and Real Heroes: Firefighter seems like a solid buy.
