Success on PlayStation and PC has enabled developer Psyonix to grow its small team. That means good things for the future of Rocket League, including ports. “We are absolutely, 100 percent going to other platforms,” VP of marketing and communications Jeremy Dunham told GameZone. “What those platforms are and when we’ll come to them, I don’t know yet.”

The game’s limited release scope was a result of the team size (eight to twelve people for “the majority of development”), not some agreement with Sony. “We wanted to make sure that it was very good, very polished, that everybody liked it, and the only way we could ensure that was to focus on two platforms,” Dunham said. Job well done on that front.

As for future ports, “Nothing is off the table. If the game can work on the platform and we can responsibly get that game working on a platform, we will never say never to any of the platforms that are current-gen. Anything is possible.” Xbox One, then?
