Aion 2‘s world has a wide variety of pets to collect and equip, and you’ll get your first ones just after starting the game. There are two different sets of options available to you once you create your character. You can then get two pets for free, but you should have to choose carefully.
Which free pets should you pick in Aion 2
Whenever you create a character and start playing Aion 2, you’ll get a special package which has a Pet Selection Chest. This chest offers four different options, and you can keep one of them.

Before discussing them, here are the similarities.
- All of them have Genus Insight value that allows for extra stats.
- All of them begin at Level 1, but you can increase that with Soul Fragment.
Here are all four options you get to pick from the chest.

I went for Black Smoke Murute, but you can also opt for Konutin Worker. Both have the same in-game boosts, and having the extra Stamina is useful. Additionally, it also compliments well with our next set of choices.
Once you complete All Geared Up (Episode 1), speak with Kaidros to pick one of three extra pets.

Fossa is the best choice in my books because you can use it as a grounded mount. The boosts offered by all three are same, but Fossa offers that extra bit that makes it the better choice among the three.
