Game Arts. I was just talking the other day about how much I enjoyed both the Lunar and Grandia series of games. The first Grandia, a light-hearted RPG, was the best one. It had a great story, solid graphics (for the time), and stellar music by one of my favorite composers, Noriyuki Iwadare.
The player assumes the role of Justin, a young boy obsessed with becoming a great adventurer, who inherits a magic stone that leads him on an epic journey to uncover the mystery of a long lost civilization.
Now the title finally makes its way to North America. We looked on with jealousy as it launched on the PlayStation Network in Japan last year. I don’t know what takes these guys so long. There’s tons of other ones hanging back. Anyway, Grandia is right around the corner, available this Thursday for both your PSP and your PS3 for $9.99.
