Price cut: Nintendo 2DS now costs $80

Such a deal

In the market for a Nintendo 3DS? Care not for its clamshell chassis and stereoscopy? Well then, buddy, do I have a proposition for you. Nintendo has dropped its suggested asking price for the Nintendo 3DS’s cake slice-esque sister model, Nintendo 2DS, to just $79.99 in these United States.

That’s nearly half of what Nintendo wanted for the system ($129.99) when it launched in 2013, and a whole Tubman cheaper than the price-cut instituted by the manufacturer last August.

Nintendo’s next system, the mysterious NX, is scheduled to release next March.
