Valcon Games has a new downloadable title called Polar Panic that’s due out later next month on PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Arcade, it unveiled to us today. It’s sort of reminiscent of Bomberman, with the developer putting emphasis on its arcade-like tendencies.

If that headline has you scratching your head, allow me to elaborate. Polar Panic. Say it aloud. Does it not sound like a name ripped straight from an 80s arcade game? While the name initially turned me away, the video up there speaks for itself.

No word on pricing, but after looking over the bullet points — 50 single-player levels, 50 puzzle levels, a few multiplayer modes, etc. — and based on how polished the video looks, I think we can expect it to fall in the $10 – $15 price range.
