Pokemon Sun and Moon continues its world sales domination in Australia

Fastest-selling Nintendo games

Recommended Videos

We knew Pokemon Sun and Moon was selling well in the US and Europe, but now Australia is joining in on the party. According to Press Start, the pair are the fastest selling Nintendo games in the AU, beating the previous record held by ORAS by roughly 67%.

It’s just as well too, as ORAS was kind of a stopgap release, knowing full well that it would be years until we saw another full entry. Although it has a pretty hefty endgame in terms of legendaries, it never really ticked any of the boxes that X & Y or Sun and Moon did.

I especially love that this latest iteration felt like an episode of the anime for the first time.
