Japanese car maker Nissan and Xbox LIVE are teaming up to kick off a Nissan Sentra SE-R Tournament on Xbox LIVE for Forza 2 Motorsport, and the winner of this competition will win a new, real Nissan car.

First off, the tournament will use one of the three newly released Nissan models, the Sentra, in the newly posted Nissan car pack for Forza 2. This new pack includes this Sentra SE-R, an Altima, and a 350Z, and is available for download on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace now.

The tournament will begin on August 25th, and will last seven weeks. Players are encouraged to tweak and customize the Sentras to their heart’s content. The 32 bracket, 256 player showdown will end with the championship race taking place at the L.A. Auto Show in November. Finalists there will compete for several prizes, including the chance to win a new car from Nissan. The Xbox Live Tournament web page will open registration for this tournament on August 18th. More rules and details will be posted at that time.

If you’re more of the artist-type, you can enter the in-game customization contest. Here, the goal is to create the best paint job on the Sentra SE-R with Forza 2’s tools. The contest will be judged by a panel of Turn 10 developers as well as Nissan representatives. Details for this tournament will be posted on August 18th as well.
