Overkill Software has announced plans for a more ambitious release of Payday 2. Now, the first-person heist game will be arriving on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 at retail worldwide in addition to the previously-announced Steam, PlayStation Network, and Xbox Live Arcade versions.

“We wanted to do everything we could to make a game that truly fits the vision of the team at Overkill but most importantly delivers an exciting, rewarding experience for the player — be they a long-time fan or new to the series,” said 505 Games head of global brand Tim Woodley.

Recently, I found out about a mind-blowing secret room in the original Payday that has understandably gotten me all excited for this follow-up. I wonder what secrets Overkill has in store.
