Just because Lord of the Rings: Conquest wasn’t received that well by the critics, that’s not stopping Pandemic Studios from releasing downloadable content.

Available today on Xbox LIVE Marketplace and PlayStation Store (for 800 MS Points and $9.99 respectively), the Heroes & Maps pack adds — wait for it — heroes and maps to Conquest.

The pack will contain three new playable heroes: Gothmog, Boromir, and Elven Maiden Arwen. Additionally, two new multiplayer maps will be made available, along with two new Hero Arenas, Minas Tirith and Wathertop.

I’ve put a picture of Liv Tyler, the actress who played Arwen in the Peter Jackson films, after the jump. There’s also a press release there, too. Really, I’m just trying to entice you to click on it to drive up page views. Did it work?
