Disney Dreamlight Valley gets new updates pretty regularly, and we also usually get some teasers about what to expect next ahead of time. 2026 is almost over, but luckily, a roadmap for early 2027 has already been shared.
With so much going on in the valley at any given time and plenty of fresh additions always in the works, it can be tricky to keep up with what’s coming next. To ensure you’re ready to go as soon as new content arrives, here’s the roadmap for all planned Disney Dreamlight Valley updates for early 2027.

There are three major updates planned for early 2027 in DDV. The teasers for these updates were revealed during the October 2026 Showcase stream. Here’s a full breakdown of everything we can expect to see for the first part of the year in 2027.

Early 2027 update
The first update of 2027 arrives sometime early in the year, likely February or March based on usual update patterns. The teaser for this one reads, “A new era of royalty begins with the arrival of two princes.”
The image accompanying this teaser features Cinderella’s pumpkin carriage and castle next to a tiny green frog and some other items from The Princess and the Frog. These teasers indicate that the two princes we can expect in this update are Prince Charming from Cinderella and Prince Naveen from The Princess and the Frog.
Spring 2027 update
The second update of 2027 arrives in Spring, likely in either March or April depending on when the previous one debuts. The hint for this one says, “Get your groove on with an iconic villainous duo.”
The teaser image with this hint features some furniture from Yzma’s lair and Kronk’s famous spinach puffs. These clues mean that we can expect to see Yzma and Kronk from The Emperor’s New Groove join the village with the Spring 2027 update.
Summer 2027 update
The third update of 2027 will arrive in Summer, likely around June. This one says players will “realize the lifelong dream of an unexpected adventurer” with the help of his beloved canine companion.
The picture alongside this teaser features the iconic house from Up, a tennis ball, and a player dressed up as Kevin the bird lurking in the background. We are definitely getting Dug from Up as a Notable Companion similar to Zero or Pluto in this one, but whether it’ll be Carl Fredricksen or Russell joining him is a bit unclear.
In the film Up, both Carl and Russell end up on a bit of an unexpected adventure, so the teaser could easily fit either of them. The “lifelong dream” portion of the hint seems to point toward Carl, though, as the film focuses on him fulfilling the shared dream he had with his late wife, which is visiting Paradise Falls.
All of these updates will include additional content alongside the arrival of new characters. Some of them will likely have fresh Realms to explore, but outside of this, we can also expect to see fresh Star Paths, new events, items, gameplay additions, changes, and much more.
