Palworld: How to build and use the Monitoring Stand

What kind of boss are you?

While on your base in Palworld, there are times when you might notice your Pals slacking off or otherwise not working how you’d like them to. Well, if you don’t mind their Sanity taking a knock, you could always build the Monitoring Stand and force them to work harder for your convenience.

There’s nothing worse than waiting for tasks to be completed while your Pals relax in the background, ignoring their responsibilities while you’re forced to do it yourself. While ‘if you want a job doing properly, do it yourself’ is solid life advice, there’s no need for you to craft your own items in Palworld

How to get the Monitoring Stand

The Monitoring Stand can be used to force compliance and harder work from your base Pals. It’s easy to craft once you’ve unlocked it via the Technology Ladder at level 15.

Here’s what you’ll need to build it:

  • 30 Wood
  • 10 Stone

Once you’ve built the Monitoring Stand, approach it and interact with it in order to open up the menu. You’ll be faced with a choice of three work settings. Each setting affects work and movement speed, as well as sanity and hunger depletion rates, for all Pals currently working on your base.

  • Normal – Demand normal work from Pals
    • Work Speed: Normal
    • Movement Speed: Normal
    • Sanity Depletion Rate: Normal
    • Hunger Depletion Rate
  • Hard Working – Demand cruel work from Pals
    • Work Speed: High
    • Movement Speed: High
    • Sanity Depletion Rate: High
    • Hunger Depletion Rate: High
  • Super Hard Working – Demand brutal work from Pals
    • Work Speed: Highest
    • Movement Speed: Highest
    • Sanity Depletion Rate: Highest
    • Hunger Depletion Rate: Highest

If you want to demand brutal work from your Pals and make all of them work super hard, it’s a good idea to keep some sanity boosting foods or medicine available in order to keep up the pace. It’s not recommended to force your Pals to work Super Hard for long periods of time, but it’s a useful feature if you need something important, such as Ammo or Pal Spheres, quickly.

You can also boost the effectiveness of these settings by choosing Pals which have positive work traits, such as Workaholic, or using food which carries work speed or hunger and sanity reduction buffs.

Here’s a good choice for each work level:

  • Normal: Salad (increases work speed by 30%)
  • Hard Working: Grilled Lamball (increases work speed by 30%, slows Sanity decrease)
  • Super Hard Working: Dumud Chowder (increases work speed by 50%, slows hunger decrease)
