What do you do when evil murder robots capture one of the world’s most beloved K-pop girl groups? You call in Overwatch, of course!

The new music video for LE SSERAFIM’s Overwatch collaboration “Made My Night” just released, and it’s top tier. I thought it would be difficult to surpass the original “Perfect Night” collab from 2023, but they may have done just that.

The entire premise around the video is that the girl group is kidnapped by Omnics (the evil robots in Overwatch lore), so Korea’s MEKA Squad members D.Va and D.Mon (the game’s latest hero) spring into action after finding out the LE SSERAFIM concert is on hold because they’re missing.

What follows is pure poetry. LE SSERAFIM wake up in captivity, and handle it the only way they know how: by slaying with their looks, dance moves, and singing. The song itself is actually great, and I could see it finding big commercial appeal in the West alongside Korea. Am I biased? Absolutely. I’ve been a fan since the group first appeared at BlizzCon three years ago, and I will be in attendance this weekend when they do so again. But you can’t deny that this song is catchy as hell, and I hope that it is a success.

Meanwhile, D.Mon and D.Va do what they do best by hopping into their mechs to utterly decimate the Omnics who had the audacity to mess with South Korea’s sweethearts, freeing the group from captivity so they can continue their blossoming careers and ongoing PUREFLOW world tour, which comes to the US next week. This only happens after the duo finds that the Omnics are distracted by the song, dancing along with it themselves, as they are just big fans of LE SSERAFIM too. Understandable.

To start the US leg of the tour, LE SSERAFIM will take the stage to close out BlizzCon this weekend, and I will be there, FIMBONG in hand, chanting along with the lyrics to their latest and greatest new song.
