Only four Brutal Legend screenshots? We’ll take ’em, but only cuz they’re metal

Recommended Videos

I have no idea what to expect from Brütal Legend, having seen almost nothing that resembles actual gameplay since the game’s announcement last century.

But I want it, and I want it bad. Why? The very idea of Psychonauts meets heavy metal is enough to get my blood pumping. So whatever Double Fine plan on tossing in our general direction, it’s bound to be — at the very least — entertaining. I mean, they tapped Judas Priest singer Rob f**king Halford to voice an in-game character, guys.

So I’m a bit peeved that Electronic Arts only sent us four measly screenshots, which seem like scraps when you think about how little info we’ve been give on Brütal Legend‘s gameplay. It’s still slated for a nebulous “Q3 2009” release, which could mean anything depending on which graph and chart you look at. But to be clear, whenever the game releases, we’re already gathering animal bones to design the most metal of gaming chairs.

Bring it on.
